Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the VolleyStats website (volleystats.ca), its tournament management applications, scorekeeper tools, or public tournament dashboards (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

VolleyStats provides digital tools for volleyball tournament organizers, coaches, referees, players, and spectators. These tools include automated round-robin schedule generation, live point-by-point scorekeeping, official tiebreaker calculation, and automatic playoff bracket progression.

3. Organizer Accounts & Security

To create and administer tournaments, you must register for an organizer account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and password.
• Promptly notify VolleyStats of any unauthorized use of your account or security breaches.
• Accept full responsibility for all activities, scores, and content generated under your account.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Publish false, misleading, defamatory, offensive, or infringing tournament names or team names.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the technical infrastructure or availability of the Service during live competitions.
• Attempt unauthorized access to other organizers' accounts, restricted administration systems, or private tournament records.
• Engage in automated scraping, mass data harvesting, or denial-of-service activities.

5. User Content & Tournament Data

Organizers retain ownership of the team rosters, tournament names, and club logos they upload. By uploading content to VolleyStats, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and format that content solely to deliver the live tournament experience to players, coaches, and spectators.

6. Service Availability & Match Decisions

While VolleyStats strives for 99.9% uptime and reliable weekend tournament operation, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Tournament directors are solely responsible for official game decisions, tiebreaker determinations, court assignments, and final trophy awards. VolleyStats is not liable for disputes arising from manual scorekeeping inputs or tournament rule interpretations.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VolleyStats, its creators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, tournament cancellation costs, or travel expenses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of VolleyStats following posted modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
